About Jessica Setbon
I grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where I learned Hebrew and Spanish as second languages. Then I went to Harvard College, where as part of my Comparative Religion and East Asian Studies concentration, I studied Japanese. While working at an internship in Tokyo, I was inspired to study French.
I think my love for languages stems from a deep desire to communicate with people - all kinds of people, from all over the world.
In my work, I focus on Hebrew-English translation and content writing. I'm inspired by the creative process of transforming texts into another language while preserving the author's original style and meaning.
As part of this process, I enjoy communicating with my authors, and getting inside their heads so I can be as true to their voice as possible.
